And when you are hollered at when you're at the bars, and stared at when at a tech conference, when you're walking home and people think it's acceptable to offer you "a ride", do you think you'd be as excited about getting introduced by appearance? These sorts of comments show just how pervasive the problem is and how hard it is for males to understand what utter bullshit women have to put up with.

Saying that you'd be flattered just goes to show that you really don't understand the problem whatsoever.

I probably don't understand the problem whatsoever. I try to understand the utter bullshit women have to go through. At least I'm trying. It is hard for me to understand, this problem. It seems like becoming so tired of being attractive that compliments on your looks make you angry would be a nice problem to have. That is a handleable suffering. I apologize for being so insensitive though.

Every day, you are judged first for your appearance and second for eveything else. It's like introducing a friend at a party, "Hi, this is my GAY friend, Cole". I can't imagine it's pleasant to have your primary attribute be your appearance (or sexuality, etc), always secondary to your contributions, skills, etc.
