It's worth noting that just because it says ESP32, doesn't mean it has WiFi (see the P4), and yeah not just RISC-V but also xtensa. I think it's more synonymous with "has a very shitty ADC" imo.
That doesn't surprise me with Astra, but having been crazy myself and put Claude on the canbus on a couple of cars, I've borne witness to it stomping out frames and generally being very stupid to the point of it triggering the mandatory red SendFeedback to Dario when it realizes it's killed the gauge cluster or tcs/abs while the car is moving along. I still wouldn't advise letting even a frontier LLM interact with your car, after doing a lot of unfathomably stupid tests.

I mean DSv4.1 Flash and GLM 5.3 kept in check by a supervising frontier like Astra or Fable already in my experience clowns massively on ever using Opus or Sonnet. Opus 5 in particular has been such a stinker that they have to know that they're going to get smoked outside the halo models.
That's kind of black and white thinking though. No one is going to pay a million dollars for QuickBooks, but a lot of people paid several hundreds. Just because no one pays you to develop a new QuickBooks (at least pre LLM), doesn't mean there's not a market there.

Developer presents the idea and how much it costs. If enough people pitch in, then the idea is funded, the developer gets the money as a lump sum and can turn the idea into reality.
I would second this. I only saw it in passing where someone was rightfully making fun of yud somewhere, but having been in and out of academia in tech for two decades now, I've never heard anyone mention fanfic or yud other than randos on HN threads, and most of the physics people I know, at least the ones familiar with Jaynes and his contemporaries, would almost certainly laugh at a lot of fumbles I occasionally see with people trying to apply "baysenianism".
One of the many funny things about whatever this group is, if you ask 100 members who E.T. Jaynes is, or some of his follow ons like MacKay or others in the same school of though like Polya, Shore and Johnson, better than 99 out of 100 will have a deer in the headlights look. I would wager the actual intellectual progenitor of a lot of the applied Baynesianism (Jaynes) is rolling in his grave right now.
