The books are really enjoyable. I also gave up on the show due to the pacing but had a great time with the first book.

A common pattern is to manage your own "overlay" repo on top of nixpkgs to keep the packages you care about up to date.

Just echoing all the other comments here, I've been loving my x4 flashed with crosspoint.

I've been having a lot of fun with claude to build one off cli's / tuis to solve my problems.

I had this same problem and I got claude to whip up my own version of this tool built out with makemkv, ffmpeg, imdb api lookups, LLM-selection of the "most likely to be the primary track", and plenty of other features. Really fun time to be building small bespoke tools for yourself.

If that's not too cheeky, would you consider sharing it?

It's incidentally a number three on my own backlog, so I'd rather spend this time learning more Python than addressing the exact problem you've already solved :)
