The terms "board game" and "tabletop game" are considered pretty much interchangable by the vast majority of hobby board gamers, "board game" just tends to be the default. There's no requirement for a board game to have a board. BGG is full of card games, tabletop RPGs, dexterity games like jenga, junk art etc - none of which have boards

I don't really agree with your assessment.

"Tabletop gaming" was a term invented specifically to capture things that weren't considered self-contained enough to be a "board game" or "card game".

I agree that "a board" is not necessary, but I do think that "less faff than D&D or Warhammer 40k" is a hard requirement.

I'm at Diggerland right now, watching my 9 year old drive a 8.5T JCB on his own lol. This place is so much fun, I'm glad to have it nearby!

I think you misread it. The context was, _not low_ (ie. high) for the average person. For someone with a higher than average wealth however, £5k isn't all that much, especially if it could potentially protect the value of their assets

I was referring to the "not that expensive".

Maybe I misread it then. I interpreted it as "not low for the average person, but not that expensive _for someone with greater than average wealth_"

Yes, that's how I intended it.

Or infuse them in the milk/cream and then strain out?

For most games you _don't_ study a manual for hours. Of course there are some crazy epic games for really hardcore gamers, but rule books for mid-weight game tend to take 5-15 minutes to read through and then you're ready to play, and a lot of people enjoy that time - familiarising yourself with something new, trying to understand what makes it tick. I personally find it an enjoyable ritual. Depending on the quality of the rules / complexity of the game, the first play through might be a bit ropey, but it's usually fine, and after that you're left with something that you can get hours and hours of fun from. Board games are awesome

Another consequence of this is that there's no way to share a specific "slide", which is a shame because there's an example about 2/3s of the way down that's really cool but there's no simple way to send anyone straight to it

It works for me. Maybe the author fixed it in the meantime?

Ctrl+Z for undo would be super helpful here, I kept doing that out of habit and it was annoying to have to go into the corner to click the undo button

Is making that button clickable the solution here? Presumably the text is there to inform the user that they proceed by clicking on the arrow in the corner. Letting them proceed by clicking the arrow would just mean they didn't know what to do next, wouldn't it?

I did the same, tried to click it, and had to look around to find what I was actually supposed to click on. Maybe the better solution would be to make it clearer where to find the correct button?

I was shocked to see Stephen Merchant as a co-founder

Yeah - Spitting Images material right there.

That said I wouldn't be altogether shocked to see the real Merchant as a funding | creative founder of a game - he has money to invest and has past form developing voice character parts for established games in addition to having solid screen writing chops which can transfer to game universe development.
