Camping and ham radio are an excellent combo. Being completely isolated while still being able to communicate with people at a distance. Something very cool about that.

Ditto. Toyed with RH and Mandrake back in the day, but quickly moved to Debian and have been there since. Played with Ubuntu and a couple smaller niche distros, but always came back to good ol' Deborah.

I was a big Usenet nerd, then switched to Reddit in the late aughts. Went back today and it was a ghostland, at least the stuff I used to frequent. Guess I need to look better, ha.

I've only used Usenet in the past as a method of getting files, and later browsed it with Google.
