Taking actions against other economies hardly matters when in like half the EU countries legislation is actively hostile against start-ups and entrepreneurs. You can probably count globally notable companies that were established in the EU in the last 25 years with one hand.
The fact that Russia, with its notably worse institutional framework for business has more relevant tech companies than the EU speeks volume about the value of your argument.
It doesn't matter how good or bad your legislation is when you are always facing an uphill battle against a better capitalized company serving a bigger market, especially in a sector which, despite its name, has very little technology in it, and hence little barriers besides marketing and network effect.

It's natural to be a bit racist an xenophobic internally. We're all animals at the end of the day who are motivated to protect our in groups and people like us.
The same way as it's natural to have strong feelings of wanting to inflict pain and suffering on someone who's done wrong to us or people we care about.
Choosing not to do these harmful but natural things is called "being civil". Nobody has to be civil, but a civil society is that way because it makes uncomfortable consequences on people who aren't civil.
It is not sensible to be xenophobic and racist in a civil society unless you consider harming others and inviting uncomfortable consequences on yourself as sensible.
But you don't have to pretend. You can choose to be outwardly racist and xenophobic if you want, it just doesn't seem very sensible.
Protecting children is not a problem for the government's who are pushing this through. It is, however, a problem for parents. And for the children that are getting the raped.
It should be noted that it was not a major priority for government's to bring justice for the victims of the Epstein class or for the 250 thousand children that got sexually abused in the UK.
